Announcing 2015 Amsterdam Seminar

Written by Katsujinken May 18th, 2015

In September 2015 the Katsujinken dojo is organising a Katori Shinto Ryu seminar in Amsterdam. The seminar will be led by Stephen Snelders and is open to Katori practitioners of all levels from The Netherlands and abroad.

Friday 11 September: 10:00-12:30 and 14:00-17:00
Saturday 12 September: 10:00-12:30 and 14:00-17:00 (party starts afterwards)
Sunday 13 September: 14:15-17:00 (no training on Sunday morning)

The seminar will take place in the dojo of the Sportcentrum Universum, in the Amsterdam Science Park.

Sportcentrum Universum
Science Park 306
1098 XH Amsterdam

  • €15 for each half day
  • €70 for the whole seminar
  • €60 for the whole seminar when signing up and paying electronically before August 1, 2015
  • €15 per person for the barbecue

Since this is Katsujinken’s 10-year anniversary, we’d like to celebrate with all of our Katori friends. We’d therefore like to invite you to join us for drinks and a barbecue on Saturday evening, which will be hosted at De Oerknal, the restaurant/café of the sports centre. There is no training on Sunday morning, so no worries. 🙂 If you want to bring a guest, that’s no problem. We do ask that you pay 15 euros per person for the food (great quality organic meat). Drinks are for your own account.

Because we need to place an order for the food, we’d like to know if you’re staying for the barbecue at least 2 weeks before the party (August 28). After that, we unfortunately can’t add any more guests, so do keep that in mind.

Say no more! Where can I find a place to sleep?

Camping Zeeburg is really close to the sports centre (10 minutes by car, a 30 minute walk through a nice park) and offers tent spots for your tent, or wagonettes or cabins to sleep in (bedding included).

After registration, please transfer money to the following account, making sure to enter ‘Seminar 2015’  + your name in the description field.
